VALUES AND DIVERSITY
Our values have been created by staff and volunteers, and are at the core of the people we appoint and in how we run our organisation and services. We aim to recruit people who believe in and are able to apply these values to their daily lives, and expect people to live by these values at all times while working at the Trust.

We will hold regular team sessions which aim to ensure we all understand and are all upholding the values of the South Kilburn Trust, in addition to reviewing within one to one conversations between employees and line managers.
We expect all employees, as well as our volunteers and Trustees, to adhere to these values. Any breaches in these values may be deemed a breach in the standards of conduct expected.
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
South Kilburn Trust is committed to treating all employees and job applicants equally. No employee or potential employee will receive less favourable treatment on the grounds of race, religion or belief, sex, disability, pregnancy and maternity, sexual orientation, age, gender identity, marriage or civil partnership status. The organisation will appoint, train, develop and promote on the basis of merit and ability.
In mid 2018 the organisation conducted a review of its approach to diversity at work. With a focus on gender and ethnicity, it was found that the Trust has employed and continues to employ a diverse workforce, in particular at first level and middle manager levels. The Trust has been taking forward a number of recommendations, including ensuring all employees and Trustees have regular equality, diversity and inclusion training, and supporting all employees to develop into middle and senior management roles.
We believe that a diverse workforce with people from different backgrounds can bring fresh ideas, thinking and approaches which improve business performance, as well as reflecting a diverse customer base.
